It feels cliche to talk about how much fun Mason Ho is having but, honestly, what else are we supposed to say? That he’s been training like Mick? Studying Slater’s technique? Surfing mock heats with a coach? No. He’s been being Mason Ho, which is to say having fun. His mind simply sees things that none of us can see and Mason acts on those visions.
